Bagnell

In the beginning of its existence three things played key roles in the rise of Bagnell: The Osage River, the Missouri Pacific Railroad and Bagnell Dam. The Osage made Bagnell a river port and tie center; the railroad fostered its birth, and the dam brought it to its zenith.  In the 2010 census Bagnell's population was 93.  Camp Bagnell is located in here and is a major attraction for the community.  Around the turn of the century Bagnell enjoyed the title of "The Railroad Tie Capital of the World" with tie yards located where the present campground is now located. Camp Bagnell not only includes a campground but a full restaurant, bar/lounge, as well as a variety of rentals.
